I think there are two ways to avoid bad thoughts.

The first one is to concentrate on today. Don't think about tomorrow. Just relax and don't think too much.

The second one is to change your thoughts. When you make a mistake, don't think you are a loser. You can tell yourself, "I can learn something from this," and use this thought to replace your bad mood.

2、专注当下的表达,concentrate on today 不如 focus on the present 更自然

Don't think about tomorrow. 表达的不好,不是说不能考虑明天,TED原句子是fully engaging in the moment without judgment.

Put all your attention on what you are doing right now.

I think there are two ways to avoid negative thoughts.
Firstly, focus on the present. It means fully engaging in the moment without judgment. When we do this, we can observe thoughts without getting trapped. Just sit quietly, focus on your breath, and when thoughts come, gently bring your attention back. This can reduce overthinking - related brain activity and help control our thoughts.
engage /ɪnˈɡeɪdʒ/v.
Secondly, cognitive restructuring. It involves challenging and changing our negative thoughts. For example, if you think, "I'm a failure because I made a mistake on that project," break it down. Analyze the evidence. Maybe you made one small error, but overall, the project was successful. Replace the negative thought with a more rational one, like, "I made a mistake, but it doesn't mean I'm a failure. Everyone makes mistakes, and I can learn from this one."
cognitive /ˈkɒɡnətɪv/adj. 认知的;有感知的;认识的 restructuring /ˌriːˈstrʌktʃərɪŋ/n. 重组;重构;v.(restructure 的现在分词) evidence /ˈevɪdəns/n. 证据;证明;迹象;v. 证明;表明 rational /ˈræʃnəl/adj. 合理的;理性的;理智的;
